Forever our girl, Paula Abdul has announced she will not be returning to Fox's Hit Reality TV show "American Idol", after her negotiations with them were not met. Reportedly she was asking for $20 million, and they were only willing to pay her half. Although, Ryan Seacrest is going to make $45 million over the next 3 yrs, this being the highest amount ever paid to a Reality TV Host.
It's sad that Paula will not be returning, but my question is why is the show even returning. The last few winners of the show have been mediocre, or dropped from their record label. They have had a winner from every genre, so now what? Kelly Clarkson is back on the charts, Carrie Underwood never left, Fantasia is a Broadway phenomenon, Ruben just released a wonderful album returning him to the charts, and Jordan sparks is promoting her second release. As for Taylor Hicks, he was dropped from his label, and I don't even remember the rest. Sad!! However, they are trying to keep the train rolling, but I think its time to take it off the track.
I wonder what lame talent they will bring to the stage this time.
